FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)
1. How much do I need to pay? What does the price include?
Ans:
The price indicated is for accommodation on per person basis for the duration of 4 days and 3 nights and will include most of the meals. Example – For Twin size room booking, each person will pay S$265 net.
2. If I make my own arrangement for my child to stay with us in a Twin size room (ie sharing bed), how much more do I need to pay?
Ans:
Besides paying for the Twin size room rate of S$265 x 2(for 2 persons), you need to pay only the meal portion for your child. It is Free for children below 4 years old, S$85 for children between 4 to 12 years old and S$120 for those above 12 years old.
3. What is the transportation cost?
Ans:
Coach return per person is S$60. The coach/bus will depart on 4 Dec 09 and return on 7 Dec 09. Venue and pick up timings will be notified two weeks before departure. There is no single fare trip and No changing of date. All are encouraged to drive, if they desire flexibility and mobility.
4. If I intend to drive but am not familiar with driving in Malaysia, what should I do? What is the parking arrangement with the hotel?
Ans:
Do let the committee members know and they can help make arrangement for you to travel in a convoy with others. There is ample parking in the hotel and it is free.
5. Why do you have such a complicated computation for the pricing?
Ans:
Due to the present economic climate, we wanted to cater to those who desire to join us for the camp but may experience financial constraints, to better manage their cost.
6. Does the hotel provide roll-away bed?
Ans:
Yes they do but only a limited number are available on a first come first serve basic. Roll-away beds are available at S$100 per bed.
7. My PCM has less then 20 people but we would like to enjoy the $10 group discount and we don’t mind combining with other PCMs.
Ans:
SIGN UP EARLY and the registration team will be able to match your PCM with other PCMs to form a group of 20 or more. Please let the registration team know this during registration.
8. I would like to sign up for Camp but it is too early to know if my work commitments will clash with Camp dates.
Ans:
Sign up for Camp before 31 Jul 2009 to enjoy the Early Bird Offer!
If cancellation is necessary due to clashes in commitments later, you are able to get:
100% refund if registration is cancelled by 31 Aug 2009 and
70% refund if cancellation is done before 31 Oct 2009.
There is no refund for cancellation after 31 Oct 2009.
9. Does the Camp dates clash with the school exam dates?
Ans:
Based on the information found on the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board website,
all exams at ‘A’ Level and below will be over by 4 Dec 09, with exception of 2 subjects.
The 2 subjects are “H2 Computing” & “Theatre studies and drama” at ‘A’ level.
We are however unable to cater to exam dates of all tertiary education institutions as their exam dates are too varied.
10. Will there be an extension to the Early Bird offer period?
Ans:
We regret that the Early Bird offer period will not be extended.
11. Is there a different package for some who cannot make it for the full duration of the camp?
Ans
We regret that there is no alternative package.
If you are not able to make it for the full duration of the Camp, we still encourage and welcome you to join us in Kuala Lumpur as soon as you can.
To reduce cost, you may wish to arrange for people to bunk in with you in your room.
12. How do I take measurement for my Camp T-Shirt size?
Ans:
The measurement should be taken as an all round measurement of the chest area
PLUS the space which you would like to have for the Camp T-Shirt.
Alternatively, you can take a T-shirt which you are comfortable with and take the measurement from there. Measure the T-shirt on 1 side, from arm hole to arm hole and multiply by 2 sides to get the T-Shirt measurement.
Samples are also available at the Camp Registration Counter after each adult service.
13. Does the hotel provide baby cot?
Ans:
Yes, baby cots for babies 1 years and below are available. If you need baby cots, please indicate this when you are registering for camp.
As the hotel only has limited number of baby cots, it will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Baby cots are provided at no cost.
14. Are beddings provided for Bunkers?
Ans:
No. The hotel does not provide extra beddings for Bunkers. Please prepare your own beddings/sleeping beds/Towels etc if you are bunking in with someone.
15. In what ways can I help in the Camp?
Ans
Thank you for volunteering to help in the Camp! We are looking for volunteers to do ushering, administrative support,
logistic support, first aid, security, game leaders etc. Please register your availability at the Camp registration Counter.
